Kepa's future at the club has been uncertain for a few weeks now after a string of poor performances which saw him being retired to the bench for six games in all competitions. He was displaced by 38-year old Willy Cabellero.
For major parts of the season, 25-year old Kepa Arrizabalaga has been poor but after being reinstated into the starting line up, he has kept two clean sheets in two games against Liverpool and Everton.
Chelsea's transfer Chiefs have made a decision to monitor the situation and the form of the goalkeeper till the end of the season. If Kepa's form doesn't improve between now and the end of the season, the club will have to look into the transfer market.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of top goalkeepers during this period with the likes of Andre Onana, Manchester United's Dean Henderson and even Marc Ter Stegen of Barcelona. But Chelsea are suspending any pursuit of a goalkeeper until at least in the summer as they have given Kepa the chance to impress until the end of the season.
